Dr Kal is a UK-trained General Practitioner with extensive experience in primary care across the United Kingdom and Australia. Passionate about preventative health and chronic disease management, he has a special interest in diabetes care and was the Practice Lead for the internationally recognised DiRECT Diabetes Remission Clinical Trial. Dr Kal provides comprehensive, patient-centred care across all areas of general practice, with interests in heart health, respiratory medicine, mental health, musculoskeletal care, aged care, and family health, driven by a commitment to improving long-term patient wellbeing.
Meet Dr Kal
Dr Kal graduated in 2002 and completed his General Practice training in Scotland, United Kingdom. He worked as a GP in Glasgow until relocating to Australia in 2017. With extensive international experience in primary care, Dr Kal is passionate about delivering comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
While he enjoys all aspects of General Practice, his particular passion lies in Diabetes Management and Preventative Health. He was the Practice Lead for the Diabetes Remission Clinical Trial (DiRECT Trial) conducted by the University of Newcastle and the University of Glasgow, reflecting his strong interest in evidence-based chronic disease care.
Outside of medicine, Dr Kal is driven by the opportunity to improve health outcomes and support patients in achieving long-term wellbeing.
